Cambridge Who's Who Names Rudolph Theodore O'Dwyer III Professional of the Year in Business Communications

NEW ORLEANS, LA, March 31, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rudolph Theodore O'Dwyer III, Manager of the Audiovisual and Executive Conference Center of Pan-American Life Insurance, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Business Communications. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Mr. O'Dwyer has 25 years of professional experience, 14 of which have been in his current position where he specializes in conference center coordination and management. He is responsible for overseeing departmental activities, preparing multimedia computerized business slides, producing video and audio training tapes, managing staff, and preparing budgets. Additionally, he produces film advertisements, radio and television programs and delivers public speeches. A certified lifetime teacher, Mr. O'Dwyer teaches English grammar as well as reading and economics. He also conducts grammar and writing workshops.
Mr. O'Dwyer is a magna cum laude graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans where he earned a double major in business management and economics from the Joseph A. Butt, S.J. College of Business Administration in 1969. In addition to holding a license in broadcast communications, Mr. O'Dwyer completed coursework in mass communications, with a concentration in broadcast journalism, also from Loyola University New Orleans. Mr. O'Dwyer served as president of the Pan-American Life Credit Union and is the corporate chairperson for the United Way of America. He was three times recognized by the mayor and the city council of New Orleans for his continued volunteer work as chairperson of "Christmas in October," a program to repair and restore blighted homes for the poor, elderly, and needy in New Orleans. He is a member and contributor to Junior Achievement, where he teaches economics to eighth grade students. Mr. O'Dwyer is also a contributor to numerous United Way Agencies, specifically The American Cancer Society, The New Orleans Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, and The Visiting Nurses Association. He is also a volunteer at the East Jefferson Hospital of Metairie, Louisiana and his high school alma mater, Jesuit High School, New Orleans, Louisiana.
