Sonya K. Blehm DeLange, M.S. Excels in Television Program Development
DeLange's roles have progressed from Marketing Director to Co-Producer of four programs
Loma Linda, CA, September 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sonya K. Blehm DeLange, M.S. in Communication Disorders and volunteer for Loma Linda Broadcasting Network TV as Creator, Host and Co-Producer of "The Gathering Place" program, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of television program development.
Sonya K. Blehm DeLange has 12 years of experience in the field of television program development, where her roles have progressed from Marketing Director and Worldwide Outreach Assistant to Program Creator, Host and Co-Producer of four programs. Loma Linda Broadcasting Network offers telecasting and the production of music, children's programs, health and wellness advice, documentaries, lifestyle segments, religious and educational programs. Over the past 12 years, Ms. DeLange has created and hosted television programs, prepared material, coordinated musical groups, and organized the schedules of television crews and shooting times. Her dedication to her volunteer work was recently recognized by the network with a certificate of appreciation. In the future, the Loma Linda Broadcasting Network will be furthering its broadcast outreach to China, the Middle East and many other areas of the world, as well as the entire United States.
A multi-faceted professional, Ms. DeLange has also worked and excelled as a speech-language pathologist for the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District for 32 years and has held the position of first soprano with the Loma Linda University Church choir since 1996. She has been influenced by many mentors throughout her career. 'I have been very positively influenced by the leaders of our Seventh-Day Adventist Denomination and our television network but most specifically Ganim Hanna, President and CEO of LLBN TV as well as Senior Pastor, Dr. Randy Roberts of Loma Linda University Church. They each demonstrate a relentless passion for outreach and ministry.' Her most outstanding accomplishment has been creating, developing, hosting and singing for 'The Gathering Place Strummers and Singers' television program featuring nine instrumentalists and six vocalists. The program allows viewers to sing and play along to familiar gospel melodies and features over 400 religious songs with 70 programs produced to date. Her joy comes from receiving calls, e-mails and personal feedback from viewers sharing how spiritually touched they are by 'The Gathering Place.' Some viewers have admitted they are now playing instruments they had not played in many years.
Ms. DeLange holds a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Loma Linda University (earned in 1975) and is a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist by the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also holds a teaching credential in the State of California. Ms. DeLange is a member of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is an honorary VIP Member of Biltmore Who's Who. In 2007, she earned the Teachers' Choice Speech Therapist Award from the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District.
